Fountain at the Belagio. It goes very often unless it is windy.  Music goes in the back ground and it tries to go to the music.  Not as good as the fire works at Lac Lemy but ok

Across the road from the Belagio is the Paris.  It is a lot smaller than the real  tower but still pretty cool.  The Arc de Triomph is to the right of it as an entrance to a restaurant.  Inside the lobby you can catch a ride to the top.  We ate at the base on the patio overlooking all the people.  Inside the ceiling is like the sky just like in the venetian below.

This is in the venetian... yes inside... that sky is ceiling.  The gondolas went back and forth through the hotel.  In the main lobby there were many beautiful paintings on the ceilings and walls.

This is still in the Venetian... yes still inside.  The white guy is a guy not a statue.  Lots of court jester shows here and opera singing.

Flower gardens in the Wynn.  Those coloured balls are real flowers.

After two days of walking end to end of the strip we stayed at the pool in our hotel for a little rest.  The background towers are still our hotel.  We stayed in the Excalibur.

One night we walked to Freemont Street.  Those lights on top are a lit screen that stretches from one side to the other of the street.  This is the old Vegas where the Golden Nugget Hotel Casino etc are.

This is still Freemont St.  On the roof they even projected the band during the live concert that night.  Note the  person ziplining... that black dot in the middle... they zip over the crowd end to end.
I can now take Vegas off of my Bucket List.  Been there done that.
We didn't get to Vegas Friday night.  Our plane was stuck in Chicago to get repaired so they put us on an Air Canada plane and we went to Toronto instead and stayed at an airport hotel and then flew direct the next morning and got there around 10:30.  We were supposed to take three flights and get there around 1 am their time so it ended up better any way.
Booked into the Excalibur and then started walking.  Got tickets for the Chris Angel show that night and then went through the Luxor next door and then on to Mandalay Bay where we went through their aquarium.  Lots of sharks, sting rays, jelly fish etc.  Smaller version of Sea World but I saw the biggest octopus that I have ever seen.  He was climbing the glass.  He was bigger than me.  I thought that I had a picture of him but I have lost all of my pictures from the first day.  Jim says that Chris Angel must have made them disappear when I left his show that night.  After the aquarium we walked the other way from our hotel.  First was NY NY building... has the statue of liberty out front...Brooklyn bridge end to end of the buildings which have been built to match the landscape of NY.  Across from NY NY was the MGM which we went through looking for the Lions but they were renovating so none to be found.  We walked through every major hotel on the strip and dropped a dollar in a lot of them in their slot machines.  The architecture is beautiful with lots of Razzle Dazzle.  At night we also saw the volcano erupt at the Mirage and then next door to it we saw the outdoor pirate show at Treasure Island.  We went around the midway at Circus Circus and saw the Trapeze show.  We went through the Stratosphere but did not go up and try any of the bungee jumping kinda stuff.  When we went to the old vegas we did walk there but it was still day light.  We definitely took a cab back because we were scared and our legs were tired from walking ALL DAY.

Did not have any health issues from Cuba but my legs definitely got more burnt than usual. This is an indication of how dry they are now.  I put on tons of lotion but it will take awhile to get them back to normal from the knees down.

Back to making chemo hats again with the new donations of wool/ cotton that I am getting.  I have an apt with the radiologist this month so I will be taking them in to where I had my chemo on the 8th floor.

I am back to work now on a part time basis, working on building up my mind stamina.  Physically I am ok... just got to get the old brain working again.  I worked Tues morning and Thurs morning for 4 hours each.  Deleted a few thousand junk emails and tried to get up to speed on important things that I missed.  I will work Mon, Wed and Fri next week... four hours each.  It is nice having the afternoon and the next day to recuperate before I have to go back in.  Hope everyone is enjoying this summer weather we are having.

I guess my hair is really curly.  I got mom to take a picture of the back so I could see how much hair I have now.  I had the neck trimmed twice but that is it.  This is the amount of hair that grows in 6 months.... last chemo in Oct.....

Roller blading this morning, restorative yoga this afternoon, practiced tennis at the club, grocery shopped and now time to make supper.  Beautiful weather today.  Hopefully it will be the same for the rest of the week.  It is nice weather for the boys to have to work outside in.  James is working with his dad trying to keep up doing the manual labour.  Enjoy the weather everyone.

Spring issue of the Ottawa Outdoors Magazine is out now.  They didn't fix any of the errors... they just added a picture.

Back out on the water.  What a beautiful day it was yesterday.  8 of us made it out.  We went from Manotick to Kelly's for lunch and then back again.  I joined Manotick Tennis Club when I was over there too.  We had to cancel the Bancroft paddle trip because of all of the flooding there.  They are in a state of emergency.  The water on the Rideau is very low still.  If we could only get the water from Bancroft over to the rideau.

Went to the Riverside again on the 11th.  Sold 36 scarves and another yoga mat bag.  Now that spring is here I will just have them on display at The Pedicure Stop and make to order now.  I still have over 30 in stock so let the orders come.

Had a beautiful week in Cuba.  Very HOT.  We always thought that only the wooses were in the shade when we went in the winter.  It is very different going there in April.  Well this is our little hut for the week.  We still got badly burned since we walked a lot.  The walks on the beach helped my toes.  I think I can feel them a little now... two of my toes are really bad but they said it could take a few years so I am still working on them.  This is definitely my happy place.

This is our view from our little hut.  How can you not love it.  Just lay back and relax.  Read a book ...people watch ...

This was the view to the left looking out from the hut.

This was the view to the right looking out from the hut.

When we were not watching people we were Pelican watching.  They are really interesting.

I got the cover up crocheted to wear there.  It went longer than I wanted so now I am going to rip it out and do it again.  Wore my hat a lot that I got last summer when I was bald.  It is very light... columbia one... only thing is in the wind going one direction on the beach it would blow off so I would hold it.... my forehead got burnt because of it since my hair is not very long yet so I do not have bangs .... that part of my head always has been covered before so it really got hit by the sun bad.  I know now how Jim feels when his head gets burned.  I should have taken down some of my scarves from when I was bald but I thought that the hat was enough with the hair that I have.

Got a new bathing suit to go.  It is a one piece on the front and a two piece on the back.  This way it covered all of the incisions from the surgery and I didn't have to sit against a wet back all day.
