Feb 2016 Rodeo Time

Went to the Rodeo again this year, saw a weird duck again, bought some cowboy boots and got bored and dyed my hair

These ducks are everywhere on the golf courses - lots of new little babies too.

Goat Skin on the inside and Lizard skin on the outside with Leather Trim
House across the road - must have seen over 500 bats come out of the shutters over the Garage... and we thought that we had to go under a bridge to see the Bats... he has since sealed it off so back downtown we have to go.
Auburn but looks red... have since went brown colour dye but still looks red... maybe the next time it will darken.  Hair is still very baby fine though... not back to normal yet

Rafters of the AT&T where Cdn Flag in middle of American and Texan Flag.  This is also where the Spurs and the Rampage play.

January 2016 Army Navy Game

Got free tickets from Whataburger to see the Army Navy football game which is the best highschool players from the East playing the best from the West.  Note the Camouflage in the crowd where the military guys and gals were sitting... the picture of everyone on the field with squared off in the middle was all the players being swamped for autographs.  Yes folks these are high school players.  People want their autograph since these guys have all been drafted to college and will hopefully be in the NFL so maybe their autograph will mean something some day.
After that game then we got to see the city all star game which too was very professional.  This was held at the Alamo Dome downtown San Antonio.

December 2015 update

Sparky in the truck on the three day drive... very long for him but he looks comfortable
Coloured Trees Around Dallas
Hibiscus blooming well at Xmas
Finally going through pictures to put on my new computer that I got when I was home in November so time to update the blog.  This will be kinda mixed up in order but it will all be December.  We got back to texas from Canada in December and then James came down for Xmas. You will see pictures from the drive down where I finally saw leaves changing colours in northern Texas - mostly all green - no colour in San Antonio.  Then went to see Star Wars with work as our prize for winning orange day.  James got here on the Fri night so we went to the Saturday Dallas Cowboys game in Dallas at their new Stadium.  Have more pictures from the beach of Jim and James throwing the frisby on the beach.  We went to a neighbourhood decorating competition and took pictures of the lights... you can do lots here with now snow.  One guy even dresses up as santa all night long on his front lawn to entertain.  There was apparently a Live Nativity scene too but we never saw it.  Went to Top Golf for New years eve and then to friends house to watch the fire works.  We also went to Six Flags earlierthat week to see the xmas lights there.

Brought Down James Stocking and got a Norfolk Pine for our xmas Tree

Cowboys Game  - the pictures say it all

Yes that is a reall person as santa on his front yard

The cactus and cowboy one as well as the huge blow up dog are from our neighbour hood... not quite as many lights as the other neighbourhood but still nice.

Six flags had tons of lights as well.  We stayed for the lighting of the tree which was pretty spectacular.  All of the water rides were closed for the winter so we were pretty bored otherwise since we do not do any of the other rides since we get too car sick.

Cool picture of a wave crashing over James as he catches the frisby from Jim

Whataburger buys a LOT of Coke products so to thanks us their polar bear came to our office and we got pictures and tshirts from them

Back in San Antonio

Back in San Antonio Safe and Sound.  Drove on Monday from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. Tuesday.  Started again at 6 a.m. and got to the house at 9:30.  Jim did all of the driving.
It was a long day at work today and Jim had a long day here unpacking and drying out/washing things that were in the back of the truck.  It rained a lot so the stuff in our suitcases in the back got soaked.  The tarp ripped around the bikes but everything got here safe and sound.  Our backs and butts were really sore near the end and we were very stiff.

It was really nice visiting with everyone.  The house was good when we got here and the heat turned on over night so we know our furnace works now... no more air conditioning now we need heat.

See everyone next year when we come back again.
